The 196 acres of park consists of a delightful mixture of informal woodland, open grassland, formal gardens and attractions such as the boating lake, cafes and the pitch-and-putt course. Managed by the Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust, the Park’s 196 acres of Grade II listed English Heritage parkland is maintained by a specialist team dedicated to ensuring the beautiful landscape is well preserved and remains very much at the heart of the local community.
The park hosts common woodland birds including Treecreeper, Ring-necked Parakeet, Stock Dove, Tawny Owl, Green, Great and Lesser Spotted (v scarce) try 'The Grove'.which also can be productive during Autumn migration (Wood Warbler , Pied Flycatcher and Firecrest all recorded. Lesser redpoll , redwing and fieldfare in winter.
