Amwell Quarry Nature Reserve

Amwell Quarry Nature Reserve is owned by St. Albans Sand and Gravel Company Ltd. There is currently no public access into the Reserve or quarry, however there are excellent views of the birds from the boundaries. The site consists of open water surrounded by woodland, farmland and gravel pits, all of which influence the type of birds found in the Reserve. Some disabled people may experience some difficulty in accessing the boundaries due to the railway line and quarry.
