Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park

Located in south-west Belarus, on the border with central Poland, occupying parts of the Brest Region (Kamenetsky and Pruzhansky Districts) and Grodno Region (Svisloch District). The nearest major town, Kamenets, lies 20km from the reserve.
Breeding;-Black Stork (Ciconia nigra), White Stork (Ciconia ciconia), European Honey-buzzard (Pernis apivorus), Lesser Spotted Eagle (Aquila pomarina), Greater Spotted Eagle (Aquila clanga), Corncrake (Crex crex), Great Snipe (Gallinago media), Eurasian Eagle-owl (Bubo bubo)

Mid-Pripyat

A seasonally flooded lowland river valley, comprising the largest tract of natural alluvial landscape to remain in Europe. Alluvial forests of Quercus, wet meadows and fens are predominant. Land-uses include haymaking, cattle-grazing, angling and hunting.
Species;-Breeding Gadwall (Anas strepera), Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos), Garganey (Anas querquedula), Common Pochard (Aythya ferina), Ferruginous Duck (Aythya nyroca), Black Stork (Ciconia nigra), White Stork (Ciconia ciconia), Montagu’s Harrier (Circus pygargus), Greater Spotted Eagle (Aquila clanga), Corncrake (Crex crex), Little Crake (Porzana parva), Spotted Crake (Porzana porzana), Great Snipe (Gallinago media), Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa), Common Redshank (Tringa totanus), Little Gull (Larus minutus), Little Tern (Sterna albifrons), White-winged Tern (Chlidonias leucopterus), Black Tern (Chlidonias niger), Eurasian Eagle-owl (Bubo bubo), Tawny Owl (Strix aluco), Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus), European Roller (Coracias garrulus), Sand Martin (Riparia riparia), Aquatic Warbler (Acrocephalus paludicola) Birdlife International.

Zvanets

The largest intact fen in Europe, with numerous sand islands. The vegetation is dominated by various sedges Carex and reed Phragmites. Part of the area is used for haymaking.
Birds;- Breeding Northern Harrier (Circus cyaneus), Montagu’s Harrier (Circus pygargus), Greater Spotted Eagle (Aquila clanga), Corncrake (Crex crex), Spotted Crake (Porzana porzana), Common Crane (Grus grus), Eurasian Eagle-owl (Bubo bubo), Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus), Common Grasshopper-warbler (Locustella naevia), Savi’s Warbler (Locustella luscinioides), Aquatic Warbler (Acrocephalus paludicola), Sedge Warbler (Acrocephalus schoenobaenus).
