Our birding trips by driftboat pass through remote stretches of the Alaskan wilderness providing great photographic opportunities. You may see 30 to 50 species of birds as well as a wide variety of wildlife.
Wildlife viewing opportunities abound. You'll have the pleasure of seeing moose at nearly every turn, eagles soaring overhead and bays and inlets teeming with life.
This trip can even be combined with fishing. The opportunities are endless because whatever your passion for the outdoors, we have it here on the Kenai Peninsula.

A Sheltered Oasis

Only 10 miles by boat from Homer, Alaska, the Bear Viewing Capital of the World” and the gateway town for the Kenai Fjords National Park, Lake Clark National Park, and Katmai National Park. Custom built in the mid 1970's from driftwood that was milled by hand, piece by piece, into lumber by owner/operator Keith Iverson and accessible only by boat, float plane, or helicopter, Sadie Cove Wilderness Lodge offers the visitor a unique opportunity to participate in Alaska's wilderness lifestyle with a couple of true Alaskan sourdoughs. Built as a year-round home in 1973 and established as a full-fledged wilderness lodge in 1981, owners Keith and Randi Iverson invite you to celebrate 33 years of residency and 25 years of full-service lodgings in 2006.
