Water Rail, Sedge Warbler and Dabchick breed, and a wide range of waders, ducks and woodland birds can be seen. Wood Sandpiper, Marsh Harrier and Grey Phalarope have occurred in autumn. A few hundred Oystercatcher and Curlew winter. Black-throated Diver and Little Auk have been seen offshore.

Visiting & access: View from adjoining public roads only. Three display boards illustrate the birds of the lake, seashore and woodland. Access to woods will be allowed on completion of track.
