Mount Olympus National Park

Olympus National Park is Greece’s oldest and most carefully protected, with a huge expanse of forest, extensive subalpine meadows, cliffs and Pinus woodland. At lower altitudes there are areas of broadleaved evergreen woodland. It boasts a fantastic concentration of flora and fauna and the crystal clear waters of the Enippeas River. Mt. Breeding birds include four of the 10 species in Europe that are restricted (when breeding) to the Eurasian high-montane biome.
