Fokstumyra is a small marsh situated in the Foksai river valley, and was designated as a nature reserve in 1923.It is one of the most popular birding areas in Norway. Fokstumyra is situated in the Dovrefjell area of Dovre municipality in the county of Oppland, in south-eastern Norway. The nearest towns are Lillehammer (130 km south) and Oppdal (50 km north).It is a RAMSAR site.Breeding waders include: Temminck's Stint, Purple Sandpiper, and Great Snipe pictured whilst the higher ground has Ptarmigan, Rough-legged Buzzard and Dotterel.
