This RSPB reserve west of the Lake district has one of the largest cliff seabird colonies on the west coast of England and has the country's only breeding Black guillemot.Best visited late April to Mid July. However seawatching can be very productive in Autumn especially if there are stong south-westerly winds, with regular Storm and Leach's petrel, gannets, skuas and shearwaters.Breeding birds include razorbill, kittiwake, fulmar, guillemot, some puffins Cormorant, rock pipit, raven, peregrine, little owl and stonechats (left) on the cliffs.
