Titchwell RSPB Reserve

Situated on the stunning north Norfolk coast, Titchwell Marsh is one of the RSPB's most visited reserves. It has something for everyone, from beginners, to seasoned birdwatchers on the lookout for a rarity.
There is a large car park and picnic area with a track leading to the reserve's information centre, cafe and shop. From here the pathway runs through a small woodland which attracts common birds and the odd rarity, before splitting two ways. There is a boardwalk 'meadow trail' area which is a delight in summer with the constant 'Ping' of bearded tit, the explosive sound of cetti's warbler and busy reed warblers. The main track runs along a raised sea defence dyke that ends at the dunes and beach. There are two large hides that overlook the various lagoons and scrapes.
Note : Can be very crowded at times so titchwell is best visited late afternoon / evening when the sun will be behind you. (Early morning the sun will be in your eyes).

Breeding birds include Marsh Harrier (above right), Bearded tit, Avocet. Major rarity hot spot.and the RSPB's most visited reserve.Click here for further details.....
