West Stow Country Park and Lackford Lakes
West Stow Country Park has a reconstructed Anglo-Saxon Village on its original site.The Anglo-Saxon Centre includes an fascinating display of archeological finds from local Saxon sites, and there is a cafeteria & gift shop. There is a children's play area, picnic area and visitor centre. The 125 acre park (SSSI) and heathland nature reserve surrounding it is rich in wildlife and excellent for bird-watching, with a nature trails, woods,and Lackford Lakes, lying beside the River Lark and created from former gravel pits.
